Dustin Palsson
Physiotherapist
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Starting her journey at the University of Winnipeg, Dustin completed a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology, and then moved to Ottawa to complete a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa. During her last year, she participated in an internship at NeuroGym Rehabilitation which ignited her passion for helping others achieve their best potential in ways not traditionally thought possible. Dustin completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University, and then returned to Ottawa to work in orthopaedic private practice.

Dustin believes strongly in patient centered care and listening attentively to patients concerns. She works together with patients towards achieving their goals with a multi-faceted approach to get to the root of the problem.  Dustin strives to ensure that her patients understand the nature of their injuries inside and out so that they may be actively engaged in their rehabilitation and prevent recurrence.

With a desire to provide excellent care, Dustin has pursued continuing education and has completed courses in manual therapy, acupuncture, functional dry needling, as well as various other courses relating to the back, hip, knee and headaches. She attended IFOMPT in 2012 to upgrade her knowledge on the current research being conducted in physiotherapy and the evolving direction of the profession.

In her spare time, Dustin is an executive member of the National Capital Unit (NCU) Orthopaedic Division, a branch of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, acting as Secretary and assisting with education. Dustin likes to stay active by exercising year round and rollerblading, golfing, skating and skiing, when weather permitting.
